The Patron of the SantaClausMarathon is Santa Claus himself.

With his direction, the proceeds of this event are always given to supporting children and young people.

The majority of proceeds are used for promoting sports and activities for children and young people in Lapland.

Some of the proceeds of the event are awarded to children who, for one reason or another, do not have the same possibilities as others to engage in such pastimes.

In 2008, the donation was given to the Ylitornio SOS Children’s Village.
